The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Syiah Kuala and Indonesia Islamic Medical Association (IIMA) will be hosting the 43rd FIMA Council Meeting in Banda Aceh from 4-7 September 2025. The meeting is held in conjunction with the Syiah Kuala International Conference.

Faculty of Medicine Universitas Syiah Kuala was founded in 1982 and currently has 16 Study Programs. The Faculty of Medicine remains committed to continuously enhancing each of these programs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of medical education, both nationally and internationally.

Indonesia Islamic Medical Association (IIMA) was established in 1981 as a founding member of FIMA. The organization is formed by 3 organizations namely FOKI (Islamic Medical Colleges of Indonesia), MUKISI (Islamic Health Institution Network of Indonesia) and IMANI (Islamic Medical Association and Network of Indonesia). Together the organizations promotes Islamic values in medical education, medical and health services, and public health in Indonesia.

Banda Aceh, the capital of Aceh Province in Indonesia, is a historic city known for its strong Islamic culture and resilient community. On December 26, 2004, a massive earthquake and tsunami devastated the city, causing immense loss of life and infrastructure. Today, Banda Aceh stands as a symbol of resilience and recovery.

The venue for the event will be at Syiah Kuala University, the largest and most prestigious university in Aceh. Located in the heart of Banda Aceh, this university provides excellent facilities, including spacious halls, modern classrooms, and well-equipped conference rooms, making it an ideal place for academic and professional events.
